“After spending several years on an impossible book, I finally finished it. I feel so liberated that I finally sorted it out, and found my way through. Kerry started me on the path.”
— --New York Times bestselling author and literary agent, Deidre Knight

Hi there! If you are a human being on a journey toward a more creative and joyous existence--welcome! You are in the right place.

My name is Kerry Schafer, and I believe that life is our most important creative endeavor. My mission is to help you discover -- and trust -- your own unique process, freeing you to live your creative dreams NOW instead of delaying them for a someday that may never come.

I'm an author (both traditionally and indie published), a licensed mental health counselor, an RN, a certified Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coach, and a Myers-Briggs (MBTI) practitioner. I offer a unique approach to coaching and counseling, combining the wealth of self knowledge accessible through the Myers-Briggs Temperament Indicator with the mindful, empowering techniques of Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coaching and elements of holistic health.

I know you are probably short on time, so let me make this quick and easy.

My Swimming North Story

At the time I discovered Kaizen-Muse, I was rapidly approaching creative burnout. I was so focused on success (whatever that means) that I was losing the joy and passion and MAGIC that I love about the creative process. I'm so grateful that I stumbled onto this when I did, and can't imagine going back to life without this new way of being.

“Kerry Schafer is one of those exceptional people you just want to be around. Wise, funny, and insightful. I made progress because showing up to her sessions were a uniquely delightful experience, her fun follow-ups were creative and inspiring, she was intuitive enough to see things that I missed. If you’re not getting to your creative passion, you don’t respond to most coaching models, and you like fun, I highly recommend you give Kerry a try. “

“Kerry’s style of coaching will take you on an unexpected journey that will unlock your imagination.”
